What is Tulsa Senior Advisor?

Tulsa Senior Advisor is a free senior care referral and advisory service for families in Tulsa and the surrounding Oklahoma counties of Wagoner, Rogers, Creek, Osage and Okmulgee.

This site lays out Oklahoma's licensing rules, the published cost figures and every facility on OSDH's roster for the six counties, so you can do your own homework; when you want a shortlist, a local advisor builds one with you. Our income comes from placement fees that communities pay after a move-in, never from families.

How does Oklahoma license assisted living and memory care?

OSDH licenses assisted living centers under the Continuum of Care and Assisted Living Act and OAC 310:663; memory care is a special unit or program inside a licensed facility that must be disclosed to the state on ODH Form 613.

Where a dementia unit restricts residents from leaving, at least two staff must be awake on every shift, with one inside the unit at all times. Read the full licensing explanation or Oklahoma's memory care rules.

What does senior care cost in Oklahoma?

CareScout's 2025 Oklahoma medians are about $6,045 a month for assisted living, $7,026 for a semi-private nursing home room and about $33 an hour for home care; CareScout publishes no Tulsa-only figure and no memory care figure.

SoonerCare's ADvantage waiver can pay for assisted living services, but not room and board, so the payment plan matters as much as the monthly price. See costs and paying for care.

Where should a Tulsa family start?

Start from the situation, not the care type: a hospital discharge, a fall, a dementia diagnosis, an exhausted caregiver or money running out each point to different first steps, and our situation guides walk through each one.
