CareScout 2025 Cost of Care Survey, Oklahoma release (March 2, 2026). Monthly figures are the annual medians divided by 12; home care assumes 44 hours a week for 52 weeks, adult day five days a week. CareScout publishes no Tulsa-only figure in this release and no memory care median.

Is there a Tulsa-specific cost figure?

Not in CareScout's 2025 Oklahoma release, which publishes statewide medians; it collects data at the metro level but did not break out Tulsa, so any Tulsa-only number you see elsewhere is an estimate.

Treat the state median as a yardstick, then get written quotes. Prices in the Tulsa area vary with apartment size, the level of care assessed, and whether the building has a dementia special care unit.

Why did Oklahoma assisted living costs jump in 2025?

CareScout reports the Oklahoma assisted living median rising 25% from 2024 to 2025, to $72,540, while the national median rose 5% to $74,400, so Oklahoma is now close to the national figure for assisted living.

Nursing homes are the opposite story: Oklahoma's semi-private median of $84,315 ranks 48th among states and sits about $30,000 below the national median. The gap between assisted living and a nursing home is therefore much smaller in Oklahoma than in most states, which matters when a family is weighing the two.

How does home care compare with assisted living in Oklahoma?

At CareScout's 2025 Oklahoma median, 44 hours a week of non-medical home care costs about $6,292 a month, slightly more than the $6,045 assisted living median, and around-the-clock home care costs several times as much.

The hourly figure here is derived from the annual median ($75,504 over 44 hours a week for 52 weeks, about $33 an hour). Agencies' actual rates and minimum shift lengths vary.

What does memory care cost in Tulsa?

No published median exists: CareScout does not survey memory care separately, so families have to collect quotes, which commonly add a monthly premium over the same building's assisted living rate.

Ask for the base rate, the care-level fees and the dementia unit charge in writing, and ask how often each has risen in the last three years. The Alzheimer's disclosure form (ODH Form 613) must describe the costs of special care.
