How many assisted living centers are licensed in the Tulsa area?

OSDH's roster, retrieved October 31, 2026, lists 45 open assisted living centers in Tulsa, Wagoner, Rogers, Creek, Osage and Okmulgee counties with 3,193 licensed beds (from 5 to 162 beds each), plus 5 residential care homes with 97 beds.

What do the columns mean?

Licensed beds, license sub-type and license ID come from OSDH's facility roster; the dementia care column shows whether the facility's public file holds an Alzheimer's/dementia special care disclosure or only a memory-care name; and the survey columns come from the exit dates of survey documents in each facility's public file.

8 centers are the assisted living side of a continuum of care campus that also holds a nursing home license. Survey documents include complaint investigations as well as routine inspections. Oklahoma publishes no star ratings for assisted living, and neither do we. Every center has its own page with its full record, nearby alternatives and questions to ask.

How is a residential care home different from an assisted living center?

A residential care home provides room, meals and supportive assistance to ambulatory adults who manage most of their own affairs and may not provide medical care, while an assisted living center may give medications and intermittent nursing.
